Participation Programs

MyGolf

For girls and boys aged 5 to 12 years of age, MyGolf is Australia’s junior program aimed at increasing participation and engagement in golf by children.

The program is a partnership between Golf Australia and the PGA of Australia and has the benefits of:

  • providing a highly developed program structure to follow;
  • access to extensive resources and equipment;
  • flexibility in the program framework to suit the centre;
  • engagement opportunities with parents and other family members who may become future golf participants at your facility;

Registered participants and Centre coaches and volunteers are covered by insurance and all participants receive an enrolment pack which includes a club, cap, string bag and ball.

MyGolf Schools Programs

For students in grades 3-6 in Primary School and grades 7-10 in Secondary School, the MyGolf Schools program is specifically designed to be delivered by teachers

With the use of the MyGolf Schools resource manual teachers, with or without golf experience, deliver 5 grade specific sessions with aligned learning intentions.

The MyGolf Sporting Schools program is offered within the Sporting Schools program which is a Federal Government initiative to get more children in primary schools participating in sport either before, during or after-school. The MyGolf Sporting Schools program runs off a similar model as the schools program, however it is designed to create pathways to local clubs and can be delivered by PGA members, Community Instructors or school teachers.

Both programs offer tailored lessons that can be conducted for single class groups, cross age programs and cross curricular activities, which are all aligned with the ACARA requirements.
